“Know that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God. He will keep His agreement of love for a thousand life times for people who love Him and obey His commands.” (Deuteronomy 7 v 9 NIV)

We long to be blessed and encouraged.

We stand before You, Father God,

Sinful and sorrowful, yes,

But also really hopeful

For we possess the Lord Jesus.

Our Brother is our Saviour.

I do not like to imagine

Where we would be without His company!

It is in Jesus, Your living Word gifted us,

We discover Father, the depth and width

And quality of Your love for us.

How sad it would be to miss this.

“ ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand’.” (Matthew 3 v 2)

This is the love which sets us free

From doubt, fear and a range of anxiety.

As long as we heed Jesus daily

As the living, loving Word You offer us.

Jesus is the good news of love and forgiveness,

Of healing and hope, of goodness and gladness.

Jesus frees us from many a doubt, uncertainty

And a multitude of difficulty,

As adversity is the command driven by the enemy.

But the Lord Jesus offers to us

The healing grace found at the †,

The time and place of blessed forgiveness.

“God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you have been saved)...” (Ephesians 2 v 4. 5)

Forgiveness, a mercy, waiting to be claimed, named in truth

Jesus is the Victor in love with us.

Jesus is the Conqueror over all sin which besets us.

Jesus calls us to Himself with godly purpose,

He plans to use us as a new creation,

No longer in any condemnation of sin, none at all.

We must hear and heed the Lord Jesus’ call.

Transform, adapt and align ourselves to Him.

For in His way, Jesus’ way of holy truth,

We are profoundly blessed to begin again and offer love’s service.

The Spirit of success is readily gifted us

To promote within us and amongst us all manner of holiness.

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirt, the things of the Spirit...to be spiritually minded is life and peace...the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Romans 8 v 5, 6, 9)

The Spirit helps our endeavour to serve our Father,

Doing so by loving the Lord Jesus who helps us,

Guides us, directs and instructs us to love each other.

Love is His message, motive and means.

Love took Jesus to the †, and nailed Him there

To repair the errors of our selfish ways,

To correct, resurrect and gift new life in Him.

A new hope, a new vision, fresh decision taken.

Why? Where? How? When?

The moment we accept the Lord Jesus as Saviour,

Looking at the purpose of His †of suffering,

An offering of such grace and blessing.

“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16 v 11)

“Hear a just cause, O LORD. Attend to my cry; give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips.

Let my vindication come from Your presence; let Your eyes look on the things that are upright.” (Psalm 17 v 1, 2)

To be blessed and encouraged, please pray, for the Lord says to us who believe in Him as our Saviour, “ ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give

you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me and I will listen to you, And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart, I will be found by you...and I will bring you back from captivity’.” (Jeremiah 29 v 11-14)
